Mango Thera Mampazha Thera Ingredients:
(1) Mango juice – 1 litre
(2) Rice flour – 1 cup
(3) Sugar – 1 cup
Procedure for cooking Mango Thera Mampazha Thera
Wash a neat grass mat, dry it and wipe with a cloth which is already soaked
in gingili oil.
Paste the mango juice on the mat uniformly and keep the mat in the sun
in order to dry. When it becomes dry apply the juice again and again over
the applied surface. Roast the rice, grind and sieve. Mix the rice flour
with the remaining mango juice. Add sugar according to the sour taste
of the mango. Apply this mixture above the mango juice layer on the grass
mat. Every time, when it is dried, apply the next coating. Continue this
till the dry film attains a thickness of 1 cm. When it is completely dried,
detach from the mat and cut into pieces. This will remain as it is for
days together. The juice extracted on a day must be applied on the mat
the same day itself.
