(1) Lemon – 12
(2) Dates – 12
(3) Chilly powder – 1 cup
(4) Sugar – ½ cup
(5) Salt – adjust to taste
(6) Vinegar – 1 cup
Procedure for cooking Lemon – Dates Pickle Cheru Naaranga –
Wash and wipe the lemon and cut into 4 pieces without detaching. Add salt
inside and keep for 2 days. Remove seeds from dates and chop into small
pieces. Then cut the lemon also into small pieces. Mix sugar in vinegar.
Add dates and chilly powder into that vinegar and boil with a low flame.
When the mixture becomes thick, stop heating, take from the stove and
keep for cooling. On cooling, add lemon pieces also, mix well and keep
in a jar.
