Ladies Finger Stew Vendakka Stew Ingredients:
(1) Tender ladies finger – 20
(2) Big onion – 1
(3) Salt – adjust to taste
(4) Potato – 1
(5) Green chilly – 4
Ginger – 1 small piece
Garlic – 5 pellets
Garam masala powder – ½ tea spoon
Crushed pepper – 1 tea spoon
(6) Coconut milk – ½ cup
(7) Curry leaves – a little
Procedure for cooking Ladies Finger Stew Vendakka Stew
Cut ladies finger into medium size pieces. Chop onion, tomato and potato
into pieces. Cook the ladies finger in steam by keeping them in idly cooker
and heating. Take the ladies finger out when it is half cooked. Similarly
steam cook pieces of big onion also. Take the potato, add water and boil.
When the potato is cooked, add all ingredients under (5) to that. When
those ingredients are also somewhat cooked, add onion, ladies finger and
salt. Finally add coconut milk and curry leaves and when the mixture becomes
thick, stop heating and take out.
