Jack Fruit Ada Chakka Ada South Indian,Kerala ,tamil nadu styles receipe
Jack Fruit Ada Chakka Ada Ingredients:
(1) Varikka variety of jack fruit (ripe) – 1 kg
(2) Rice – ½ kg
(3) Jaggery – 750 grams
(4) Coconut – 1
(5) Powdered dry ginger – ½ tea spoon
(6) Powdered cumin seed – ½ tea spoon
(7) Ghee – 100 grams
Procedure for cooking Jack Fruit Ada Chakka Ada
Clean the jack fruit slices, remove the seed and chop into small pieces.
Transfer the pieces into a thick pan, add water and boil. Add jaggery
also into the pan and melt that. When the melted jiggery becomes a strong
paste, add grated coconut, powdered dry ginger, cumin seed powder and
ghee and mix well. Keep on stirring until it becomes a jam. Hand - mix
rice flour with ghee and water and make it a loose paste. Take a little
of the paste in hand, place it on a piece of plantain leaf, spread that
in circular shape with a little thickness and keep a spoonful of jack
fruit jam at the center. Fold the leaf and keep it inside an idly cooker
and do steam cooking. Take it out after fifteen minutes and serve.
