Hot and Sour Vegetable Soup South Indian,Kerala ,tamil nadu styles receipe
Hot and Sour Vegetable Soup Ingredients:
(1) Big onion – 1
(2) Garlic – 2, 3 pellets
(3) Carrot – ½ (medium size)
(4) Ginger – 1 inch piece
(5) Cabbage – ¼ of a small size
(6) Celery – 2 inches stem
(7) Spring onion – 1
(8) Mushroom – 2 Nos.
(9) Capsicum – ½
(10) French Beans – 4, 5
(11) Corn starch – 3 table spoon
(12) Oil – 2 table spoon
(13) White pepper powder – ½ tea spoon
(14) Salt – adjust to taste
(15) Sugar – ½ tea spoon
(16) Aginomoto – ¼ tea spoon
(17) Soya sauce – 2 table spoon
(18) Green chilly sauce – 2 table spoon
(19) Vegetable stock – 4, 5 cups
(20) Vinegar – 2 table spoon
(21) Chilly sauce – 2 table spoon
Procedure for cooking Hot and Sour Vegetable Soup
Chop cabbage, celery, spring onion, mushroom, French beans, big onion
and garlic into very small pieces. Grate the carrot and ginger. Keep the
bamboo shoot in boiling water for 2, 3 minutes and then chop it. Remove
seed from capsicum and chop that into small pieces. Mix the corn starch
in ½ cup of water. Cook the chopped vegetables in oil heated in
a wok. Add white pepper powder, salt, sugar, aginomoto, soya sauce and
green chilly sauce and stir well. Then add vegetable stock into that and
boil. Pour the corn starch solution and heat for a minute. Finally add
vinegar and chilly sauce and take the vessel out of the stove. Sprinkle
spring onion and serve.
