Hog Plum Pickle Ambazhanga Achar Ingredients:
(1) Hog plum – ½ kg
(2) Chilly powder – 1 table spoon
(3) Fenugreek powder – ½ tea spoon
(4) Cumin seed – ¼ tea spoon
(5) Garlic – 5
(6) Ginger – 1 small piece
(7) Oil – 50 ml
(8) Turmeric powder – ½ tea spoon
(9) Mustard seeds – ½ tea spoon
Procedure for cooking Hog Plum Pickle Ambazhanga Achar
Wash the Hog plum and apply powder salt over it and keep for 4 days. Grind
chilly powder, fenugreek powder, garlic, ginger piece and cumin seeds.
When mustard seeds splutter in heated oil, add turmeric powder. Add the
ground ingredients along with sufficient water and then boil. When it
becomes thick, stop heating and take out of the stove. Now add the Hog
plums and mix well. On cooling, transfer into a jar.
