Churuttu South Indian,Kerala ,tamil nadu styles receipe
Churuttu Ingredients:
(1) Raw rice – 1 kg
(2) Coconut – 2
(3) Cumin seed – 2 tea spoon
(4) Elachi powder – 1 tea spoon
(5) Sugar – 600 grams
(6) Mandaka – as required
(7) Vanilla essence – ½ tea spoon
(8) Lemon juice – 2 tea spoon
Procedure for cooking Churuttu
Soak raw rice in water and then grind it. Mix that with grated coconut
and keep for 30 minutes. Heat a thick vessel and add cumin seed into that.
Roast rice flour in that till the flour becomes reddish. Crush the lumps
and sieve the flour. Mix sugar and lemon juice and keep it for a day.
Then make that a syrup, having one thread consistency. Add the roasted
rice flour into that and stir thoroughly. Also add elachi powder and vanilla
essence.
