Boondi South Indian,Kerala ,tamil nadu styles receipe
(1) Gram flour – 500 grams
(2) Vegetable oil – 500 grams
(3) Sugar – 500 grams
(4) Sugar candy – 100 grams
(5) Cashew nuts – 50 grams
(6) Elachi – 10 grams
(7) Dry grapes – 10 grams
(8) Nut Meg – ½
(9) Clove – 4
(10) Kesari powder – 1 pinch
Procedure for cooking Boondi
Sieve the gram flour and mix it with water to make a thick solution. Keep
a pan on stove and melt the vegetable oil in that. When the oil boils,
pour the maida solution through a sieve so that it will fall as drops
in the oil. Fry the boondi and take them out.
Make syrup of sugar with one thread consistency. Add fried boondi and
kesari powder and take out. Add roasted cashew nuts and dried grapes.
Grind nutmeg, elachi, clove and sugar candy and mix with the boondi.
