Black Halva Karutha Halva South Indian,Kerala ,tamil nadu styles receipe
Ingredients:
(1) Rice flour (not roasted) – 200 grams
(2) Jaggery – 500 grams (melt and filter)
(3) Coconut milk – 500 ml
(4) Ghee – 100 grams
(5) Elachi – 5 (powdered)
Procedure for cooking Black Halva Karutha Halva
Mix rice flour, coconut milk and melted jaggery together without formation
of lumps. Add 25 grams ghee and cook at 500 Watts. After 5 minutes take
it out, stir well, add 50 grams ghee and cook for 10 minutes. After 10
minutes, take the vessel out and stir with an egg beater. Again add 25
grams of ghee and cook for 5 minutes again. After 5 minutes, take that
out, stir and add 50 grams of ghee and cook for 10 minutes at 400 Watts.
After 10 minutes take out, sprinkle elachi powder and keep it spread in
a steel tray. On getting cool, cut it into pieces.
(When the Halva is set, it will get detached from the sides of the vessel.)
