Bitter Melon Pickle Kappakka Achar Ingredients:
(1) Bitter Melon – ½ of a melon
(2) Chilly powder – 2 table spoon
(3) Turmeric powder – 2 tea spoon
(4) Mustard seeds – 1 tea spoon
(5) Salt – adjust to taste
(6) Vinegar – ¼ cup
Procedure for cooking Bitter Melon Pickle Kappakka Achar
Remove the skin and seed of the bitter melon and cut into small pieces.
Keep the pieces in boiling water for 2 minutes. Decant the water, mix
salt and transfer into bottles. Pour vinegar also. Add spluttered mustard
seeds, chilly powder and turmeric powder and stir well. Keep for 15 days
and then take out and serve.
