Bay Leaf Bread Vazhana Appam South Indian,Kerala ,tamil nadu styles receipe
Bay Leaf Bread Vazhana Appam Ingredients:
(1) Roasted rice flour – 250 grams
(2) Melted jaggery – 200 grams
(3) Grated coconut – ½ of a coconut
(4) Bay leaves – 15
(5) Plantain fruit – 2
(6) Sod powder – ½ tea spoon
Procedure for cooking Bay Leaf Bread Vazhana Appam
Melt jiggery after adding a little water into it and filter out. Add the
melted jiggery, grated coconut, plantain fruit and soda powder into the
roasted rice flour and mix them thoroughly. In order to make it a loose
paste, a little hot water may be added while mixing. Fold each bay leaf
in the shape of a cone and fill that with the above mixture. Then keep
the filled leaves spread in a bowl or in a pyrex dish. Close the vessel
with a lid and heat it for 12 minutes in microwave at 500 Watts.
