Battura South Indian,Kerala ,tamil nadu styles receipe
Battura Ingredients:
(1) Maida – 500 grams
(2) Boiled cooled milk – 8 tea spoon
Sugar – 2 tea spoon
Salt – adjust to taste
Egg – 1
Butter – 30 grams
(3) Curd – 4 cup
(4) Soda powder – ¼ tea spoon
(5) Yeast – 50 grams
Procedure for cooking Battura
Mix yeast with maida and keep for fermentation. Mix yeast in milk and
keep for fermentation. Dissolve soda powder in curd. When yeast is raised
in maida, add ingredients under (2), mix thoroughly and keep for 2 hours
for raising. Again stir it thoroughly and keep it for one hour. Then make
small balls with the mixture. Press the balls and spread them in circular
shape. After one hour fry them in heated oil and take out.
