& known as South India ,we are going to make an edd curry recipe which
is popular here ,the South Indian egg curry recipe .
To prepare the south Indian egg curry receipe the following ingredients
are required – boiled eggs,chilli powder,oil etc
The list of ingredients required to prepare this instant egg dish is
given below .
Ingredients:
Hard boiled eggs - 8
Oil - 3 Tbsp
Coconut - �
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Pepper powder (black) - � tsp
Dhania powder - 2 tsp
Turmeric powder - � tsp
Oil - 2 Tbsp
Garlic - 1 tsp, minced
Finely chopped onions - 3/4 cup
Ginger - 1 tsp, minced
Tomato - � cup, chopped
Salt - to taste
For Tempering
Oil - 1 Tbsp
Cloves - 2
Cinnamon - (2 cm) crushed
Finely chopped onion - � cup
Curry leaves - few
How to prepare to cook South Indian egg curry recipe
Hard boil eggs – Boil egg in water ,you could add little salt to
the water to boil egg with out breaking, it may take 15 mins to hard boil
the egg ,remove from heat & allow it to cool ,peel & cut into
halves ,and keep aside
Grate & grind coconut to a smooth paste
Mince garlic,& crush two garlic cloves for seasoning
Chop onions for both gravy & for seasoning
Mince ginger
Chop tomatoes
Make the masala paste by mixing all masala powders together with little
water
Method of cooking South Indian egg curry recipe
Add oil to a preheated pan ,add minced garlic and fry till onion (don’t
add all chopped onion,we need little onion for seasoning too ) turn light
brown,now add the masala powders pasre and fry for 1 minute,now add the
chopped tomatoes and close the pan with a lid and cook in low flame till
tomatoe turn to pulp .Now add the coconut paste and cook stirring 3 mins
,add enough water to form a creamy gravy ,now ad little salt and simmer
for 3 mins ,now add the eggs to the gravy ,simmer for 1 min and remove
the curry from the heat ,
Now in another pan heat oil & add the crushed cloves,cinnamon ,&
curry leaves & onion and fry till it turn dark brown and our into
the egg curry ,our south Indian egg curry recipe is ready to be served
.
This south Indian egg curry is best to be served with plain rice .
