Let us cook egg curry recipe,this egg curry recipe is prepared with eggs,onion,tomato,garlic,etc
.Kerala is famous for it’s egg curry,in earlier time every house
hold they had hen or ducks,so eggs were readily available to Keralites
,so they prepared egg curry regularly and served hot ,Appavum Muttayum
(egg ) ,Puttum Muttayum are very popular in Kerala .
Ingredients for Kerala egg curry recipes are given below
4 Eggs (hard boiled)
1 onion
1/2 tomato (pureed)
3-4 flakes of garlic
1/2-inch piece of ginger
1-2 green chilies
2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
Salt To Taste
Red chili powder to taste
3/4th tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp coriander powder
3/4 tsp garam masala
2-3 tbsp vegetable oil / ghee
1 cup green peas or 250 gms paneer
How to prepare to cook egg curry recipe
Hard boil eggs,cool it down & peel ,keep it aside
Cut paneer into cubes ,fry to golden color & keep aside
Make paste of onions ,garlic,ginger, and green chillies,set aside
Make tomato puree by boiling tomatoes ,once it is cooked ,peel it &
mash it to fine paste ,keep it aside .
Method of cooking egg curry recipe
In a preheated pan add oil ,when the oil is hot,add onion-ginger,garlic
paste and fry it till it turn to golden brown .Now add all spices,salt,turmeric,coriander
& chilli powder, except garam masala and fry for a minute and all
tomato puree ,fry till it gets cooked, once it is cooked it will start
to leave oil .Now add a cup of water and cook till it dry’s .Now
add fried paneer cubes or green peas and boiled eggs ,add one cup of water
and bring to boil and reduce the flame .
Simmer for 10 mins in low flame ,garnish egg curry with garam masala and
coriander leaves and serve hot .
