Method of cooking Avalakki dosa ,beaten
Avalakki dosa is prepared with the batter which prepared from rice &
beaten rice ,it is a very simple dosa recipies ,a dosa recipe with out
urad dal ,in most of the dosa recipes urad daal is unavoidable .
Avalakki dosa ingredients are given below with their quantities.
Ingredients for avalakki dosai
rice 3 cups
beaten rice (avalakki) 1 cup
buttermilk 4 to 5 cups
salt to taste
Method of cooking Avalakki dosa
Clean rice & beaten rice ,wash it with water .Soak rice & beaten
rice in buttermilk for atleast five hours .Grind the mixture to a fine
paste adding water ,add little salt - Avalakki dosa batter is ready now
Heat the pan & rub oil on it – Pour spoonful of Avalakki dosa
batter & spread it in circular with uniform thickness .
Add oil around the Avalakki dosa edges ,to let it released easily ,once
its edges are released flip the side & cook well , Avalakki dosa will
turn crispy ,remove it from the pan - Avalakki dosa is best to be served
with coconut chutney .
