Cooking ada dosa recipes
How to make adai dosai or ada dosa is a common question wander
in the minds of house wifes ,normally ada dosa is not so common in kerala
,but it is very popular in Tamil Nadu ,while I was on deputation in Tamil
Nadu ,several time I had Ada Dosa ,its very tasty & nutritious .
For cooking Ada dosa we have to soak raw rice,Bengal gram split,black
gram split,green gram split for 5 hours .After soaking grind all these
together to make batter with medium consistency .
Ingredients for ada dosa:
1 Cup Raw Rice
¼ Cup Bengal Gram split
¼ Cup Black Gram split
¼ Cup Green Gram split
8 - 10 Red Chilies
4 - 6 Green Chilies
4 large Onions, Chopped finely
1 tbsp Coriander leaves or Dill or Mint leaves, Chopped
A pinch of Asafoetida
Salt to taste
Half fresh Coconut, Grated
Oil for roasting
Method of cooking Ada dosa recipes
Soak raw rice,Bengal gram split,black gram split,green gram split for
5 hours ,remember to clean all before soaking them .
Grind all the soaked ingredients with green chillies,red chillies,salt
& Asafoetida to a smooth batter - & Keep it for fermentation overnight
(8hours )
Before making Adai dosa add chopped onions ,grated coconut,& coriander
leaves to the ada dosa batter & mix it well to achieve good consistency
.
Heat a skillet & grease it with oil – Pour a ladle full of batter
on the griddle and roast both sides till the adai dosa turns light brown
color .
Remove from the tava & serve ada dosa hot with butter ,pickles,or
tomato ketchup
