Cooking Avalakki dosa receipe
Avalakki dosa recipe is a tasty dosa ,its batter is
made with raw rice,methi seeds,urad daal ,avalakki or poha,coriander leaves,curry
leaves & shimla chillies .
Ingredients for Avalakki dosa recipe
2 Cups Raw Rice
1 tsp Methi (Fenugreek) Seeds
2 tsp Urad Dal (Black Gram split)
½ Cup Avalakki/Poha (Beaten Rice)
1 Cup Coriander leaves, Chopped
½ Cup Curry leaves, Chopped
3 - 4 Big Shimla Chilies, Chopped finely
Method of cooking avalakki dosa,aval dosa recipe
So let us first make the avalakki dosa or aval dosa batter by
grinding together soaked rice,methi & urad dal & avalakki ,remember
to soak rice,methi,urad dal for 4 hours & avalkki for 5 minutes before
grinding .Grind all the ingredients till it turn to a smooth batter .Cover
& keep in a cool place to ferment .Add salt to taste
Place a shallow pan over the stove & smear oil on the pan when it
is hot .Pour 1 laddle full of batter & spread it in circular fashion
evenly .Drizzle few drops of oil on the dosa,sprinkle chopped coriander,curry
leaves,& chillies over it .
Apply little oil around the dosa edge ,when it starts to separate from
the pan ,flip the side & cook foe few seconds ,remove it from the
pan to serving plate .
Serve avalakki dosa hot with coconut chutney
