Shahi Gobi Recipe Introduction
Shahi Gobi is prepared by deep frying cabbage and cooking it in the masala.
This recipe can be easily prepared and very mouth watering too.
Ingredients
• 1 cup Cabbage
• 2 medium Onions
• 6 each Garlic Cloves
• 2 tablespoons Ghee or Oil
• ½ teaspoon Garam Masala
• ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder
• 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds Ground
• 1 tablespoon Coriander Ground
• 2 tablespoons Yogurt
• 1 medium Tomato diced
• 1 ½ tablespoons Gram Flour
Method of preparing Shahi Gobi Recipe
Cutting
Wash and dice the tomatoes in to cubes and keep aside
Cut the cabbage in to thin slices and keep it ready.
Grinding
Take a jar put the onions and garlic and grid it to a smooth paste. In
another jar put the cumin seeds and grind it to powder.
Mixture
Take a broad bowl add the gram flour, chili powder, salt as needed add
water to make a smooth batter.
Method of cooking Shahi Gobi Recipe
Heat oil in a frying pan and dip the slices of cabbage in the prepared
batter and deep fry till golden brown in colour. Remove them on a tissue
paper to remove the excess oil.
In another pan heat oil or ghee put the ground onion paste fry till golden
brown then add the dry powders and fry for a minute and add tomatoes simmer
on low flame till the oil oozes out on top of the mixture. Mash the mixture
well with the back of the spatula add 2 cups of water add cabbage then
boil till the sauce is thick and the cabbage is soft and tender. Remove
from fire delicious Shahi Gobi is ready to serve.
Method of serving Shahi Gobi Recipe
Take an oval shaped serving dish pour the cooked Shahi Gobi sprinkle the
chopped fresh coriander leaves and grated Paneer (optional) and serve
hot with the main course.
