Patta Gobi recipe Introduction
Cabbage (patta Gobi) is vegetable which is used in many ways we are glad
to share the innovative recipe of making a dry side dish which can be
served with the main course. It can be quickly made when you have some
sudden guests
Ingredients
250 g - patta Gobi (cabbage)
8 to 10 - French beans
a handful - green peas
3 - medium sized tomatoes
1 - medium sized carrot
2 - green chillies
1 tsp - cumin seeds
1 ½ tsp - mustard seeds
1 ½ tsp - coriander powder
1 tsp - red chili powder
½ tsp - turmeric powder
3 to 4 tbsp - oil
salt to taste
Method of preparing Patta Gobi recipe
Cutting
Chop the French beans, cabbage, carrot and green chillies finely and keep
aside.
Grinding
Grind the tomatoes to puree and keep it ready.
Method of cooking Patta Gobi recipe
In a pressure pan heat oil on a medium flame and add mustard seeds, cumin
seeds, and green chillies allow them to splutter add the tomato puree
and sauté for 10 -15 minutes on a slow flame. Now add the red chilli
powder, coriander powder, and turmeric, salt as needed simmer on low flame
till the oil oozes out .Now add all the chopped vegetables to the mixture
sauté for 5 minutes. Steam the vegetables for 8-10 minutes on low
flame. Remove from fire serve when required.
Method of serving
Pour the cooked patta Gobi in to the serving dish sprinkle the freshly
chopped coriander on top and squeeze few drops of lime (optional) serve
with dhal, rice and chapatti
