Method of cooking Cauliflower pakoda, pakora
Introduction
Cauliflower pakoda is an Indian recipe in which cauliflower florets are
coated with chick pea flour and yogurt and then deep fried in oil and
served as a starter with tea
Ingredients
• 2 pounds cauliflower
• ¼ cup yogurt (thick)
• 1 cup chick pea flour
• ¼ teaspoon baking powder
• ½ teaspoon carom seed (ajwain in Hindi/vaamu in Telugu)
• ¼ teaspoon red chili powder
• ¼ cup water
• Salt, to taste
• Oil, to deep fry
Method of preparing Cauliflower pakoda, pakora
Cutting
Cut the cauliflower in to medium size florets and wash them thoroughly
and keep aside.
Mixture
In a bowl pour the yogurt, baking powder, chick pea flour, ajwain seeds,
chili powder salt as required make it to a batter consistency of a cake
by pouring water.
Method of cooking Cauliflower pakoda, pakora
Dip the florets in the batter in a way that they are fully covered with
the batter. Heat oil in a frying pan on medium flame and when the oil
is hot add the coated florets and fry till the colour of the batter changes
lightly. Remove the florets and keep aside.
Repeat the same process with the rest of the florets and remove when done.
Now take the first round of fried florets and deep fry them till golden
brown in colour.
Method of serving
Take a serving plate place the crispy hot pakodas on one side and serve
them with mint chutney or tomato ketchup. They Tastes best when eaten
piping hot.

It is a different method of making pakodas and is very delicious to eat
you can surprise your family and guests by serving these pakodas.
