Gobi matar recipe Introduction
Gobi matar is a combination of cauliflower and green peas cooked in a
gravy form and it is served as a side dish along with the main course
in the lunch or dinner.
Ingredients
1 medium sized Cauliflower,
250 gm Green Peas
1 tbsp Butter
1 tsp Cumin seeds
1.5 cm Ginger, 2 Green Chillies, Salt to taste
Coriander leaves (to garnish),
1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
Method of preparing Gobi matar recipe
Cutting
Cut the cauliflower in to medium size florets and wash them. Cut the green
chillies and ginger finely and keep aside. Chop the fresh coriander leaves
finely.
Method of cooking Gobi matar recipe
Take a nonstick pan, melt a tsp of butter and add cumin seeds, ginger
and fry for a while. Now add the chopped green chillies, cauliflower florets,
peas, and salt as required. Sauté the mixture for a while cover
it with a lid and cook for 10 minutes or till the vegetables are soft
and tender.
Method of serving
Put the cooked gravy in a serving bowl and then garnish it with coriander
leaves and garam masala powder. This dish is best served with Rotis, Naan,
and Paratha.
