Meat Puttu – Steamed Cake - Irachi Puttu - Method & Ingredients

  Ingredients :

                             (1) Rice flour – 2 cups
                                   Coconut – ¾ cup
                                   Salt – adjust to taste
                              (2) Meat – ½ kg
                              (3) Chilly powder – 2 table spoon
                                    Coriander seeds powder – 1 table spoon
                                    Turmeric powder – ½ tea spoon
                                    Masala powder – 1 tea spoon
                                    Garlic – 5 pellets

Procedure :

Chop meat into small pieces. Mix the meat with ingredients under (3), salt and water and then boil.
Soak the rice flour in water and add salt also.

Fix the slit in the Puttu maker and fill it with layers of rice flour coconut mixture and in between, layer of meat also. Cook in steam, take the puttu out and serve hot.
