Idiyappam Batter making
Idiyappam
Ingredients
(1) Raw rice – 4 cups
(2) Salt – adjust to taste
(3) Grated coconut – 2 ½ cup
Procedure
Soak raw rice in water and then grind into flour. Add salt and water, mix thoroughly and make small balls with the mixture. Transfer the ball into the ‘ Seva Squeezer’. Sprinkle grated coconut on the plate of the idly maker and squeeze the seva on that in circular shape. Then close the vessel and cook in steam. Then open the idly maker, transfer the cooked seva to a tray and serve with side dish.
