Bread pakoda recipe
Bread pakoda is a very tasty receipie that gets its richness with potato
added. It’s a receipie mostly suitable for evening and only for
young people its good. Old people have to avoid as it is deep fried and
excess oil may lead to heart attack.
Ingredients for Bread pakoda
? Boiled potato and mashed – 3
? Sunflower cooking oil – 2
? Finely chopped onion – 1
? Finely chopped green chillies – 2
? Cumin seeds – 1 spoon
? Finely chopped cloves garlic – 6 to 8
? Bread – 10 slices
? Bengal gram flour – half cup
? Turmeric powder – 3/4 tea spoon
? Red chilli powder – 1/4 tea spoon
? Salt as needed
? Sunflower cooking oil for deep frying
METHOD TO PREPARE Bread pakoda
1. Take a vessel and add bengal gram flour, 1/4 tea spoon turmeric powder,
red chilli powder and salt to taste. Mix them with little water. Keep
the mixture on one side.
2. Add two spoons of oil in a deep pan. Make medium flame and add cumin
seeds. They first splutter at first and get stopped at once.
3. Then add garlic and fry till it becomes soft.
4. Add onion, green chillies chopped and fry till onion get cooked well.
5. Add half tea spoon turmeric powder and mix all ingredients well.
6. Now add mashed potato and mix well.
7. Add salt as per needed.turn off the fire.
8. Take slices of bread and put required amount of potato mixture on each
slice and spread well to cover the whole surface of bread.
9. Take another slice and cover the first slice.
10. Cut the bread sandwhich in to four pieces. Take deep frying pan, add
oil and heat.
11. Now dip the bread sandwich pieces in to bengal gram flour batter so
that it coat well on all sides.
12. Deep fry those slices until it becomes golden on both sides.
13. Then serve hot bread bakoda with variety of chutneys.
