Chicken chop suey recipe South Indian receipes
Chicken chop suey recipe is a tasty recipe which could be prepared with
• 4 - 6 ounces (115 - 175 grams) chicken meat, thinly shredded
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 egg white
• 1 tablespoon thick cornflour/cornstarch paste - (1 part cornflour
with 1.2 parts cold water)
• about 1/2 pint (300 ml) seasoned oil (see below)
• 1/2 teaspoon finely chopped garlic (optional)
• 1 tablespoon thinly shredded fresh ginger root
• 3 - 4 spring onions, thinly shredded
• 4 - 6 ounces (115 - 175 grams) bean sprouts
• 1 small green pepper, cored and seeded, thinly shredded
• 1/2 teaspoon caster (superfine) sugar
• 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
• 1/2 tablespoon Chinese rice wine
• 2 tablespoons stock
• pinch of MSG (optional)
• a few drops sesame oil
Preparation of Chicken chop suey recipe
• Shred the chicken
• Remove the egg white- How to remove the egg while,just break and
pour the egg into a funnel ,only white of egg will pass through the funnel
• Chop garlic
• Shred ginger
• Chop onion
• Keep ready bean sprouts ,it may take about 5-8 hours to sprout
• Shred green pepper
• Keep all other ingredients ready
• Mix the chicken shreds with salt,egg white and with 1 tea spoon
cornflour ,keep it aside .
• Seasoning the oil – In a pan heat the oil ,put two three
pieces of ginger,boil till the ginger color changes to dark brown,it is
the indication that the oil is seasoned,now remove the ginger pieces &
store the oil .
Method of cooking Chicken chop suey recipes
Fry the chicken shreds marinated in a pan with required oil ,drain out
the fried chicken shreds & keep aside .
Pour again 2tbs of oil in to the preheated pan ,stir all the vegetables
given in the ingredients list for about one minute,add the balance salt,sugar
and mix it well ,now add the chicken pices with soy sauce,stir it,add
the rice wine ,now add the stock ,boil till the gravy turns to be thick
,now you could add the corn flour if any remains ,cook again till gravy
thickens ,now Chicken chop suey
Is ready & garnish with the sesame oil & serve hot .
Chicken chop suey recipe is best to be served with chapattis .
